Chairing the International Court of Justice
I vice-chaired a three-day ICJ committee of 14 delegates on the Spanish-American War.
In a room that small, every delegate came to me for a neutral read on their next move. I also graded them and decided the awards, which taught me to trust my own judgement and stand by it.
