Making a ₹3.6L grant do the work of ₹16L

Genus logoGenus Power Infrastructures Ltd., with Pinjarapol Gaushala, Churu

Genus Power gives ₹3.6L a year to a gaushala in Churu that cares for 600 animals. Working with the CSR team and finance mentors, I audited the shelter's full ₹1.27 Cr budget to find where that grant would do the most good.

I modelled reallocation scenarios in Excel and presented a two-part plan to Genus's CSR board: reshuffle the existing ₹3.6L, and a separate ₹32.95L infrastructure case projected to return ₹75.3L over ten years. I also designed a small dung and gaumutra programme: ₹50K in, ₹1.3L a year by year three.

Genus now uses my reallocation framework to deploy the grant every year.
